Black out and a Monday

March 14th (repetition I know) 10:00PM
Just before Mamá began to cook dinner the lights went off. Luckily I had my handy-dandy head lamp on a close shelf so I did not walk it to a wall or worse steep on Ignacia on our way to the kitchen where the rest of the family was. They were totally prepared. They have to emergency lights because black out are quite common in the rainy season and now with all the after shocks we need to be prepared for anything. Ignacia was really nerviosa the entire night. On the way to school she decribed how she kept waking up during the night. So the lights: they turned off and in about 5 or 10 minutes turned back on just long enough for me to put away my head lamp. And then they turned off again. The second time they came back on Mamá made dinner and just as she finished cooking the lights turned off again. We ate by candle light and after dinner Sebastian took us all out side to look at the stars. They were so amazing. I wanted to take a picture but I decided that If i tried to go get my camera I would probably end up walking into many walls and I don't usually go looking for pain. As we were outside the lights came back on for good. After that we all quickly go ready for bed while we had light.

March 15th 9:45
So today we started the 3 day process of ensayos (tests). They are like CSAPs because they are durring school and mandatory but also like ACT/SAT because they are for getting into University. Today was the language examen. Tomorrow math. I was the first to finish the test partly because I skiped about 10 out of 80 questions because I could not understand the question and partly becasue I have been taught such amazing test taking skills (thanks any teacher of mine that might be reading this). Hopefully I got some answers correct. After I finished I was allowed to leave but I waited for two others to finish so I would not be alone. We had about and 1 hour and a half of Recreo (recess) because we finished quickly. The only other interesting part of the school day was lunch. After eating we are allowed to go outside and do what ever. I ended up sitting with Sebatian and all of his guy friends. Things I learned: a popcicle at the school store only costs $.20 USD and a piercing only costs about $3.50!! (I just need to find the right place to get a piercing).
After school I tried to go over to a friends house to do a homework assignment for Humanista but I couldn't figure out how to get back home so I couldn't go.
Tomorrow hopefully I will learn how to take the bus so I will be able to get around easier. The bus (or Micro) only costs about 30 cents!! Que bacán!! Wednesday I will hopefully begoing to pick up my carnet in the morning and then go to school and the after school I have volleyball. If the bus goes well tomorrow then I will take the bus home. And don't worry I'll be safe!!
